The Mandalika, October 6, 2026 — PT Pengembangan Pariwisata Indonesia (Persero), or InJourney Tourism Development Corporation (ITDC), together with the Government of West Nusa Tenggara Province, is finalizing spectator transportation services for the Pertamina Grand Prix of Indonesia 2026, which will take place on October 9–11, 2026, at the Pertamina Mandalika International Circuit.
As part of the preparations, a total of 42 shuttle units have been prepared to support spectator mobility to The Mandalika on October 10–11, 2026, through five routes: Bangsal-(IC) Bale Kita with 2 units, Lembar-Mandalika with 2 units, (IC) Bale Kita-Mandalika with 34 units, and Zaimuddin Abdul Majid International Airport (BIZAM)-Mandalika with 2 units.
For the main (IC) Bale Kita-Mandalika route, shuttle services to the area will operate from 07:00 to 12:00 WITA, while return trips from Mandalika to Selaparang will operate from 15:00 to 22:00 WITA. Under the prepared scheme, shuttle services on this route will operate at 15-minute intervals.
To ensure that the transportation scheme operates effectively on the ground, ITDC and the Government of West Nusa Tenggara Province conducted a Pertamina Grand Prix of Indonesia 2026 Transportation Activity Simulation on Monday (October 5). The simulation tested the readiness of shuttle services, travel routes, passenger pick-up and drop-off points, as well as spectator movements to and from The Mandalika area.
Chairman of the Pertamina Grand Prix of Indonesia 2026 and Director of Operations of ITDC, Troy Warokka, said that the transportation arrangements were designed to provide convenience for spectators while supporting smooth mobility throughout the event.
“We want people coming to watch the Pertamina Grand Prix of Indonesia 2026 to have clear and easily accessible transportation options. Therefore, we are ensuring the readiness of the shuttle services, routes, pick-up and drop-off points, as well as traffic arrangements to the area through coordination and joint simulations with all relevant stakeholders,” said Troy.
In addition to the external shuttle services, ITDC, in collaboration with DAMRI, is providing 118 buse for internal shuttle services to support spectator mobility within the area. The service arrangements have been adjusted according to gate locations based on ticket categories.
Spectators holding Grandstand A, B, C, and H tickets will be directed through Gate 1, while spectators holding Grandstand E, G, and Festival tickets will use Gate. Meanwhile, spectators holding Grandstand I, J, and K Gate 3 tickets will use Gate 3
General Manager of DAMRI NTB Branch, Zuryani, said that this year's internal shuttle service also includes several improvements based on evaluations from previous events.
“This year, we have prepared one disability-accessible bus that will operate on a mobile basis at each gate to serve spectators with special needs. We have also prepared a fleet to conduct a final sweep at the end of the service period to ensure that no spectators are left behind, particularly during the return flow. DAMRI personnel will be stationed at every gate, and each bus will also be equipped with a liaison officer (LO) to assist spectators by providing information,” said Zuryani.
To support spectator journeys, the connectivity scheme to The Mandalika also takes into account several arrival points across Lombok, including Zainuddin Abdul Madjid International Airport (BIZAM), Lembar Port, Gili Mas, Bangsal, Kayangan, and Senggigi.
Head of the West Nusa Tenggara Provincial Transportation Agency, Drs. Erwan Anwar, M.M., said that the simulation was conducted to ensure the readiness and integration of spectator transportation services, covering routes, fleets, pick-up and drop-off points, as well as the connectivity between external and internal shuttle services.
“This year, we have made several improvements based on evaluations from previous events, including adding service points and strengthening nighttime return services. Through this simulation, we are also ensuring that connectivity across sea, air, and land transportation routes can be properly organized, allowing spectator movements to and from The Mandalika to take place in an orderly and optimal manner,” said Ervan.
Troy encouraged spectators to pay attention to transportation routes, gate locations according to their ticket categories, and travel times to the area so that their journeys can be properly planned.\
“We encourage spectators to plan their journeys in advance and pay attention to transportation information and access based on the tickets they hold. With the arrangements that have been prepared, we hope mobility to and from The Mandalika will take place in an orderly, safe, and comfortable manner,” Troy concluded.
