The Mandalika, August 25, 2026 – Following the fire that struck the Sasak Sade Traditional Village in Rembitan Village, Pujut District, Central Lombok Regency, West Nusa Tenggara (NTB) on Saturday evening (August 22nd), PT Pengembangan Pariwisata Indonesia (Persero) or InJourney Tourism Development Corporation (ITDC) continues to support emergency response for the affected community. Based on preliminary data, the fire affected 75 houses, as well as several community and tourism facilities in the Sasak Sade Traditional Village.
From the evening of the incident until Tuesday (August 25th), ITDC has mobilized emergency response support and distributed various basic necessities to affected residents. In the follow-up response, ITDC has also been appointed as the point person for the distribution of disaster response aid in the Sasak Sade Traditional Village fire to help coordinate support from State-Owned Enterprises (BUMN) and various parties to ensure targeted distribution of aid according to the community's needs.
ITDC Operations Director Troy Warokka stated that this support demonstrates their concern for the community and their commitment to working together with the government and various parties to help address the impact of the fires. "Since the night of the incident, we have been continuously coordinating with the Central Lombok Regency Government and related agencies to support fire management and meet the needs of affected residents. Currently, our focus is on coordinating support from 32 state-owned enterprises operating in NTB, as well as various parties, so that the assistance provided can meet the needs of the community on the ground," Troy said.
ITDC has been responding since the night of the incident, deploying one fire engine and three water tankers to support the extinguishing process. On Sunday (August 23rd), support continued with the distribution of 700 packages of ready-to-eat food, mineral water, bedding, and baby supplies.
Entering the next phase of response, on Monday (August 24th), ITDC distributed another aid package, 45 folding mattresses of various sizes, 50 blankets, 240 menstrual hygiene kits, and 240 baby diapers.
Support for the Sasak Sade Traditional Village community also came from several state-owned enterprises. PT PLN (Persero) distributed 150 food packages and various basic necessities, while PT Bank Tabungan Negara (Persero) Tbk (BTN) provided support in the form of folding mattresses, blankets, sleeping mats, mineral water, food supplies, and prayer equipment. PT Bank Rakyat Indonesia (Persero) Tbk (BRI) also distributed aid in the form of food, mineral water, toiletries, suitable clothing, and other necessities.
Solidarity also grew from The Mandalika ecosystem, which participated in easing the burden on residents affected by the disaster. The Mandalika Bazaar Community distributed the first phase of aid on Sunday (August 23rd), consisting of cash, as well as various food, clothing, baby supplies, and hygiene supplies. The aid was symbolically handed over and received by the Deputy Regent of Central Lombok and the Head of Rembitan Village.
Sapo Development, an investor in The Mandalika, also provided support with a commitment of IDR 2 billion to the Sasak Sade Traditional Village as a form of support for the community affected by the fire.
"We appreciate the support of all parties, including state-owned enterprises, investors, communities, tenants, and the general public, who have stepped up to help the Sasak Sade Traditional Village. This collaboration reflects the spirit that the development of The Mandalika goes hand in hand with caring for the surrounding community," added Mr. Troy.
In response to the emergency, the Central Lombok Regency Government, together with the West Nusa Tenggara Provincial Government, has established an emergency response post at the Merah Putih Village Cooperative (KDMP) in Rembitan Village, with the Head of the Central Lombok Regency Regional Disaster Management Agency (BPBD) as the Head of the Post. A public kitchen has also been prepared to support the needs of the affected community.
In addition to 75 houses, preliminary data indicates that the fire also affected one mosque, four large sekenam (small) berugaks, six sekepat (small) berugaks, 69 art shops, a Bale Beleq (small) hall, a public toilet for tourists, the gate to the Sade Traditional Village, and several other facilities.
ITDC will continue to coordinate with the Central Lombok Regency Government, the Regional Disaster Management Agency (BPBD), state-owned enterprises (BUMN), and various related parties to ensure that the support collected and distributed is aligned with the community's actual needs during the emergency response period.
