Jakarta, August 21, 2026 – PT Pengembangan Pariwisata Indonesia (Persero), or InJourney Tourism Development Corporation (ITDC), recorded positive performance throughout the first half of 2026, recording 2,497,458 tourist visits across the three areas it manages: The Nusa Dua, The Mandalika, and The Golo Mori. This figure represents a 10.54% increase compared to the 2,259,269 visits recorded in the same period the previous year.
This growth is reflected not only in the increasing number of tourists but also in strengthening business indicators in each area, including increases in occupancy rates, length of stay, and high-value MICE activities. This achievement demonstrates the strengthening of business quality in the destinations managed by ITDC, while also increasing their contribution to tourism economic activity in various regions.
Acting President Director of ITDC, Ahmad Fajar, stated that the first half of 2026 results demonstrate that the company's destination portfolio development strategy is increasingly capable of generating quality growth.
"We are not only pursuing increasing the number of tourist visits, but also ensuring that each destination is able to create greater economic value through increased occupancy rates, length of stay, business activity, and investment opportunities. Each area has distinct characteristics, so development strategies are tailored to provide optimal benefits for the community, tenants, investors, and all stakeholders," said Ahmad Fajar.
As a world-class leisure destination, The Nusa Dua remains the largest contributor, recording 1,798,004 tourist visits, an 8.16% increase compared to the first semester of 2025. The area also maintained solid operational performance with an average occupancy rate of 70.51% and a length of stay of 2.76 nights, exceeding the company's target. This performance demonstrates that The Nusa Dua is not only successfully attracting more tourists but also encouraging them to stay longer, thus providing a greater economic impact on the region's tourism ecosystem.
At The Mandalika, the growth trend continues as the area strengthens its position as a sports and lifestyle tourism destination. Throughout the first half of 2026, the region recorded 685,844 tourist visits, a 17.39% increase compared to the same period the previous year and 124.7% of the company's target. The average occupancy rate also increased from 44.94% to 50.95%, supported by the increasingly busy schedule of various sporting, entertainment, and community activities during the first half.
Meanwhile, The Golo Mori continues to show positive development as a premium MICE destination in Eastern Indonesia. Visits increased 6.90% to 13,610 tourists, while the occupancy rate jumped from 3.83% in the first half of 2025 to 17.09% in the first half of 2026. Furthermore, the average MICE spending per person was nearly three times the company's target, reflecting the increasing economic value generated by each conference, corporate gathering, and other business activity.
According to Ahmad Fajar, this achievement demonstrates the complementary roles of the three regions in strengthening ITDC's business portfolio.
"The Nusa Dua continues to strengthen its position as a world-class leisure destination, The Mandalika is developing as a driver of national sports tourism, while The Golo Mori is increasingly demonstrating its potential as a premium MICE destination in Eastern Indonesia. This diversification of strengths is a crucial foundation for ITDC's sustainable business growth," he said.
Entering the second half of 2026, ITDC is optimistic that the growth trend will further strengthen as various strategic agendas unfold throughout the region. Various national and international events are projected to be catalysts for increased tourist visits, occupancy rates, and business activity, while strengthening the multiplier effect for the hospitality, transportation, MSMEs, creative economy, and local business sectors.
At The Mandalika, this momentum will be reinforced through the hosting of the Pertamina Grand Prix of Indonesia 2026, which is projected to once again be a catalyst for regional growth. In addition to attracting domestic and international tourists, this world-class motorcycle racing event is also expected to increase hotel occupancy rates, stimulate the transportation sector, strengthen MSMEs and the creative economy, and provide a multiplier effect on the economy of West Nusa Tenggara.
Meanwhile, The Golo Mori will further enhance the region's appeal through the Golo Mori Sunset Run 2026, which is expected to expand destination exposure while also boosting tourist visits and economic activity in the region. The Nusa Dua will continue to accelerate regional activities through various Meeting, Incentive, Convention, and Exhibition (MICE) events, international events, and strategic collaborations with tenants and business partners.
Ahmad Fajar believes this series of events will be the main driver of the company's performance improvement until the end of the year.
"We are optimistic that the second half of 2026 will be a momentum to strengthen the competitiveness of the destinations we manage. Through various strategic agendas, we want to ensure that each region becomes not only a tourist destination, but also a new center of economic growth capable of creating sustainable benefits for the community, the business world, and the national economy," concluded Ahmad Fajar.
